This was from 2 weeks ago, but I have to share here! L could pass as an old man...he's such a sweetie!
P.S. for documentation purposes, L got his glasses 2 weeks ago today!

I need...
to actually post on this blog-thing! I promise (to myself) to try and post once a week. As for now, it's time for bed :) My random thoughts that I want to remember about today: great day at home in the morning with kids; i thought D was getting sick, but she woke up acting happy as a clam...then we had our Bieg buddies over to play; EIT meeting and then a walk with BFF Amy. All in all a great day.
Step count for the day = 12, 417 (I'm sure both of my sister's are beating me. They are so darn good at getting lots of steps in! 10,000 + is an excellent day for me!)
Nighty night!

Brachycephaly...My kid's got it.
There's a new accessory in Linus' wardrobe...a helmet! Today we (just Linus and me!) went and got the helmet from the Orthotic & Prosthetic Lab at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. My plan is to periodically post some pictures of Linus's head so we can watch the progression.
Brachycephaly = flat-head. Ask my Aunt Nancy, she'll tell you she has one :) Check out Daph's old pictures...there was some MAJOR flatness going on there, too. We knew going into this kid's life that we were going to do everything possible to prevent a flat head! Lots of planning and discussing about keeping a head from getting flat took place. What can I say? My kids (like me!) love to lay FLAT on their back to sleep...with their cute little arms above their heads. When you start sleeping in long stretches at night AND you lay flat on your back AND your mom is a freak about SIDS AND you probably have some strange genetic component (re: Aunt Nancy), you get a flat head. A really freakin' cute head, but, alas! a flat one! :)
More to follow in the upcoming days... Now it's time for me to go to sleep too... yes, with my arms above my head :)

The First Post
Where do I begin? This is "that" post. The awkward one...The one where I forget all logical things to write about and ramble instead. If you are reading this, you're probably my mom. Or sister. Or BFF. I hope to use this space to chronicle lots of goodies (i.e. pictures of my adorable kids, ideas/thoughts on my favorite topics in speech-language pathology, etc.)
I'll get better at this, I promise. I'll choose cooler fonts. I'll add awesome links. I promise. Until then, I have to go grab the chocolate bar from the 2-year-old...
